Anyone in Maryland / NoVA get an allocation yet?

My dealer is telling me that he hasn't been informed of his allocation yet. I put a deposit down a few months ago, but still have no idea when the car will be built, or whether I will even get one. Anyone in Maryland NoVA area had better luck?

BMW of Alexandria got one car in the April allocation. It is the only dealer in the mid-Atlantic to have gotten one so far.

Yup, that would be me. Yeah, that's exactly what they told me....although I still don't have a VIN, just a Production number. However, this "one allocation", as far as I know, only refers to the April production run. That said, if you're towards the top of the list, I'd bet you will indeed get one, it just may be a little while. My guess, mid to late summer.

I am #1 on the list at Northwest BMW around Baltimore and mine won't be ready until November.

Thanks for the info. If I get a delivery date past August, I think I might just wait until next year. No point in having a new car sit in the garage all winter only a couple of months after delivery.

I'm #1 at BMW of Annapolis and they said mine was an October car.

Funny thing, back in Aug 2010, I asked a tech from there, and he swore he hadn't heard about the 1M...

And they (BMW of Annapolis) had advertised having the first X6M in the mid-Atlantic, when it first came out...

I'm not too surprised given the timing and the fact that the 1M is more of a niche vehicle. Plus, I think most techs probably aren't rabid enthusiests and therefore aren't as aware of future products as the typical 1 addict member

LOL, true dat, one of the sales guys at BMW of Austin still emails me occasionally to ask me about the 1M... scary thought Guess not all BMW employees are BMW freaks like us 1-addict-ers.
