The Ring And Spa Trip

Hello my fellow UK 1M pilots....week 26 is when my new born is due.

ive been patiently waiting for this moment yet everyday that goes by i just become more impatient..the reason for this post is simply to find out if anyone is up for having a big 1M meet up sometime after june 26th to go and blitz the ring and spa.
i just thought it would be great to see all those 1Ms heading out there.
ive never done anything like this before and i appreciate the fact that many of you probably have, albeit not in a 1M..
even if anyone else has any ideas of such a trip..please dont hesitate to voice your interest.

ps all 1Ms welcome......

It's a great idea and I have always fancied it myself. Since ED is not an option (just yet anyway), this is very appealing.

My 1M is due to be produced in week 23 so I expect it will be here a week or two later.

Most difficult bit will be getting the time off work and getting the idea past the wife and kids!

at SPA
But only if i'm not intruding you see. (propably beeing a lot older than the most of you)

I will be there around July 11-14th. I will be going to the Ring for sure and will try to get Spa in as well.

better not to soon, so that everybody who's interested will have the chance to pick up their 1M and break it in (funny here we speak of riding in lol) before hitting the track.
If I might suggest september maybe early october ? :-))

I wish I was getting a 1M, and it sounds like a good time. I wouldn't want my 10 year-old TDI to make you guys look low-class... or maybe it will make your cars look even better when compared against the backdrop of my beater? Just a thought

For my part of playing the lowly comparison, I would be expecting to ride along...

yeah totally agree with you gs...im aware alot of the 1Ms are being delivered in july aug so september is fine with me.i would like to have as many as possible joining in on this trip and am more than happy for any changes to be made.
i cant wait to get my 1M.

hello my fellow 1M comrades...just a quick update on the RING and SPA trip.
due to the growing interest in this mission, it seems that the logical thing to do is arrange it for September...i know a few of you guys are expecting your newborn around july and aug

i think doing it then will enable everyone to have the chance of taking part.
its really good to see the interest is spreading....once again your all welcome to share your ideas too, as any input from past experiences can only benefit us all.

ps this is an open trip and non 1M drivers are more than welcome..

who knows, we could all make the october edition for AUTOCAR magazine

When you put both calenders side by side then you have this two possible dates:
Sunday 25 sept NURBURGRING FULL DAY (open public) you pay per lap
Monday 26 sept NURBURGRING EVENING FROM 17.30H UNTILL 20.30H APROX.
Tuesday 27 sept SPA FULL DAY(open public) , meaning 4 runs (25 min. aprox each) for € 215 per day

Saterday 29 oct SPA FULL DAY (open public)
Sunday 30 oct NURBURGRING AFTERNOON (open public)
Monday 31 oct NURBURGRING FULL DAY (open public)
