Well to start with, the intake sound is so awesome it makes me drop my MPG like mad
It makes the turbo spool MUCH louder ( if that wine up to 2k rpm sound is turbo spool ) kinda a neat sound but could get annoying if you dont like it If you arent on the gas hard the air sucking and bov sounding sounds arent that loud But once you do start driving harder it sounds just like the video and is really addicting Power wise honestly cant feel much, might've made the low end slightly better? but that might just be placebo/a bit harder on gas But its an intake and I wasnt expecting much from it Had to drill the hole like murderedone which wasn't all that hard, my 20$ drill + Dewalt drill bits drilled through it within seconds However lining it up properly wasn't as easy and hence my bracket holding up the scoop was kinda slanted and dint fit perfectly(had to bend it and stuff) The rest of install is rather fun and easy but Injen missed 2 m4 bolts and m6 bolts? plus I see a hole that I think should've had a bolt in it? gona take a pic of that later

They missed the same bolts for me.. maybe we could write up a complaint or something.. bc that pisses me off. Power gets better.. at least for me.. it took acouple days for my jb3, intake, and engine to get used to it.. and now it feels great.. at least in my opinion.
Oman135 I told you that you had to drill a hole man. Why would it be any different? |

Are you guys talking about the 2 holes on the side of the intake scoop? Everybody has that and honestly, it's not an issue that affects performance. Those 2 holes are there for the N54 intake. N54 and N55 share the same scoop.
After doing a couple dyno pulls, it showed that the intake was helping it better in the higher RPM's than the lower. |

Don't fool yourselves...these intake do nothing except diminish power gains unless you are at the drag strip. They sound cool but once your engine heats up your performance will begin to drop....may not be appreciable at street driving but is very noticeable on the track

we were referring to the hole you have to drill to secure the new bracket for the power steering fluid thing.
and yes i'd agree that this would heat soak in a lap or two even up here in BC in summer but given that i track only once or twice a year recreationally it doesn't bother me too much Or I can always put the oem back.. but thats rather annoying

i love my injen... missing two m4 bolts too... wtf... got them at home depot... the sound is awesome and the power is great. i still need to make some adjustments to get everything to line up right. pretty easy and fun to install. you get to take an awful lot of crap out of the engine bay!!! it looks a lot better with all the plastic stuff cleared out. the drilling is a little easier if you center punch, start drilling small, and then go to the 1/4 inch last.
