LCD display unreadable on startup
The radio's LCD is unreadable on startup if it is warm outside. It eventually clears up, but until then, it is a red-black glow. Anyone else see this? Hopefully it is covered under warranty...

Yes warranty, take it in.. no sense in waiting

hey! I noticed this too yesterday! My car sits out in the sun all day, I noticed that certain areas seemed to be burned away, i.e some of the letters were all funky and hard to read. However, later at night when I left, turned car on, everything was fine!

Same problem on my car. I was told it was heat related and to take a picture of it and email it to the svc manager. He knew it was bad but BMW would not replace it until a solid picture was taken. I took a pic and emailed it to the manager. He replied that he felt it was good enough to get it warrantied. We shall see
