Upgraded Intercooler?

Has anyone upgraded the intercooler on their 1M yet? Will a 135i/335i intercooler fit, or does the new front bumper require a new design?

I may be trying the Active Autowerkes upgrade but it won't be until August 1st. I suspect the 135 one will fit. I'll post the results as we will likely dyno the car before and after install.

The word from everyone I have talked to is that the 135 FMIC will fit.

I'm also figuring that the 135 FMICs will fit and am likely to get the Helix unit for my car.

BTW, last I checked, my 1M was aboard a cargo ship (the Independence 2) in the English Channel and is due at the port in Brunswick GA on July 6th.

Will either pick it up at United BMW on July 22 or at the PDC on August 5

I keep the helix IC of a friend who has a 335i E90

I think it's a good mod for the 1///M. it's the first things i do on the 1///M

I'm holding my new HPF FMIC in order to transfer it along to the 1M.

i want to say there was a post from the Helix guys here not long ago stating their IC for the 135 would fit the 1M with minor trimming. I had a Helix on my MINI and loved it.

I believe MDORPHN had a Helix intercooler installed on his 1M. I don't recall hearing any problems with fitment.
