Good deal or no?

Hey guys, had an 08 m3, which i traded for a 2010 GTR. Miss the M and I am looking to go back into one.
Found a 2008 e92 with 35k miles, 6MT, 19 inch wheels, CF roof, Nav, Novillo leather, cold weather. Price is $49k. It is CPO.
Is this a good deal, a bad deal or a great deal?
Any advice?
Only downer on appearance is it has front plate drilled already
Thanks!

Oops. Accidentally deleted my other post.

I thought 49k was sticker price, especially since it is an 08 with 35k miles.

seems high. in the dealer auction i can get that car with the same amount of miles for about 40k-45k max. they probably bought the car around that price range. so you can haggle them down alittle more. but remember this is a dealers auction price not off the street. however that car is CPO that means it has the 2 years, 100,000 miles extended warranty right? if it does have the warranty and you can bring them down around 3k or so down and it will be a great deal. if you dont know how to maintain and fix the car on your own, any problems that this car will get out of warranty will cost you a shit ton. if you really like the car and want it, what i would do is really push them to lower the price a few grand more, if you they dont agree with you tell them your not buying and that to call you if they decide to bring the price down, they'll call you back. extended warranty is great

and true front licence plates always ruin the look for me too lol. good luck with the car

I don't think they will go down anymore. Car had been priced at 53k for a while, they brought it down to 51k. Went in and they said 49k, i told them it was still too high... I'll go in with a check and see if perhaps 49k OTD can be done.... Any other advice?

I don't plan on selling the gt-r anytime soon. I enjoy that car far too much. However, I do miss the M3 a lot...

How about a 2011, 12k miles, 6mt, CF roof, loaded otherwise for $63k? is that a better deal?

Just stopped selling my '08 with every single option, only 8K miles, 2 years left of warranty, and immaculate condition because I couldn't get the $47K I wanted, meaning there're probably others selling for less. Paying $49K for an '08 sitting in a freaking lot (for who knows how long) with 35K miles would be insane IMO. I'd MUCH rather buy from an original owner with almost 2 years left of warranty at a much lower price and mileage than a certified car, but to each his own. Look around on eBay, autotrader, cars.com, and mota.com, and I bet you find what you want much cheaper and from a private seller. Good luck.

The 2008 M3 sounds like a bad deal. The 2011 sounds better; what was the dealer invoice price?

Go much lower.

Just fyi in case you didn't know. All m3s (essentially) are loaded. It is about 65k for a new m3. So go much lower since this is used.

You can do better-- if you don't mind dct, the one in the link below has 3500 miles and it's cpo. I was gonna buy it before I bought a brand new one. Am sure you can get them to drop the price below 63,964.

Although I realize I probably cant trust the dealer, he stated they own it for 62k. I'm torn because the 2011 is exactly spec'd to what I want but I'd like to make are I'm not getting ripped off.

If this is the case, it's worth it to make a few thousand more for a brand new one

better financing, original owner, 2011.75, it's your car

for a 2008, you should get it for 47k. it'll be a good price :P

if they don't budge off 49k, try to have them throw in BMW Performance stuff then

I would walk away. This dealership obviously has no integrity, so you never know what they are trying to hide from you.

Ok, so from what I've gathered from you guys, the 08 is a bad deal and the 2011 is a very mediocre deal. I cannot get the dealership lower on the 08 so I'm walking away for good on that one. I'll see what they say on the 2011 tomorrow. If they don't go down to around 60k, I may go for a new 2011.
I found one I like nearby, MSRP is 70k. What is a realistic number for a new one then? Same options as the used ones I've mentioned.

That's an okay deal. I just picked up my 2008 E92 last Tuesday. Mine is CPO with less miles and was $46k. Rather than listen to all these opinions, go look on Cars.com and see what comps are selling for.

Un Limited, CPO is 6 year (from build date) or 100k miles.

Good luck with the search.
