BSM 1M with CF grilles and tint added

I had the windows tinted and installed CF grilles over the weekend. Tools required for grille removal/install: 2 hands. It took more time to unwrap the box than to install them. I am liking the look and will have the BMW CF Performance Spoiler installed later this week when I have the 1,200mi service.

Today, I also ordered the JB4, BMS DCI, and 10mm spacers for the rear. Hopefully they show up in Orlando this week so I can put them in over the long weekend. Fyi, I tried out my 12mm spacers on the rear that I had on my M3, and thought they pushed the wheels out a little too far. I am leaving the fronts alone for now until I see how the rears look. I am also considering lowering the front end once a dedicated spring set is released for the 1M, so I may have clearance issues if I put a spacer up there.

Anyway, here are the pics from this weekend's additions:

Did you buy yours at Fields BMW of South Orlando? If so, I almost bought this car...I even drove down to Orlando to see it before it was purchased and took a bunch of pics...but black was my second color so I decided to wait and order in orange plus I got to spec it out to my taste.

Nope - Winter Park. My car is loaded, and I lucked into it when trading in my M3. She was just sitting there waiting for me. I saw the one at South Orlando, and it did not have all the options I wanted. Plus, someone up north had already purchased it.

Yep - they are wrapped. I got them from **********s and am happy with the quality. The fabric stretches a little in the corners, but I don't think there is any way to avoid that. Plus, where it does stretch, it follows the contours nicely.

The amber corners have never really bothered me, but now you have me looking. If we lived in Europe, we would probably be "modding" to get ambers. What have you guys used to clear/black them out?

GREAT CAR! Looks Amazing.
Is it REAL carbon fiber that's wrapped with some protective film? or... just a grill wrapped with carbon fiber vinyl?

I live just outside of Orlando in Mt. Dora, and have recently got my AW 1M. Maybe we could all meet up there later this summer.

Wow, it's a regular central Fl 1M love fest in here! I grew up in Deland so I'm an I4 warrior like you guys. It sounds like we all have AW or BSM. Does everyone in FL hate oranges too much to get VO?

You Central Florida guys give a shout when your cars come in so we can set something up. We can add one more to the list - my buddy drove mine over the weekend and promptly got on the list for AW. We'll see if/when it gets here. I still want to see VO in person.

Good question - my prior response was a little ambiguous. They are CFRP (fabric with a clear coat of epoxy/resin-type material overlaid) for the kidneys, with flat black slats. Here is the product link from **********s:
