Military Sales... Allocation build dates in September!!!!!!!!!!

Well, after getting in touch with my sales rep, he told me to stop in he had some news. Turns out it was GREAT NEWS! The email states that they are pulling allocations for Military Sales starting in September for us!!!!

He says it looks reeeeeaaaal good that I might be able to snag one of them as I am one of the first who had a deposit in!

BEAST MODE!

The didnt specify quantity, but they stated that the build dates for early September were for MILITARY SALES ONLY!!! And that other dealers cannot order for build dates in that period, period. So this is probably our only window, September. Hopefully though, when they see that us Military guys are realy interested with all of our down payments they will open it up a bit more... Hopefully. Id like to see as many get the car as that want it. Just like the Dr. said they would do.

The rumors I've heard are that the September allocations are in response to demand and the... speed... at which the initial MSP allocations were snatched up. I hope everyone gets a chance...

Awesome! I did not like the fact that I was one of the only two. Well, for a second I thought I was all cool and exclusive. Then I felt guilty. So it is great to hear more will be available. Can't wait to hear about everyone getting their orders in.

Glad to see you guys are getting taken care of. Those panicked threads blaming BMW for being insensitive to the military were a LITTLE overblown...

And yet, they worked. There were no plans to bring the 1M to MSP until said "overblown" threads

Not a little overblown in the least. The Dr. said they would make enough for EVERYONE that wanted to buy them, not just a lucky few.... Its still siding with luck that most of us will even get one, but the odds did go up.

LOL.. Drill.. I thought early on, that an indication was given that Mil Sales would be handled in the fall. Either way... It does seem that very few if any US dealers have September production dates. I have called the majority of dealers in the center of the country this week, and while many have late season allocations the majority of them are indicating " late fall" and the ones that have specific months are indicating October or December.

Yeah, I heared that "IF" Mil Sales got any it would be in the fall... but it wasnt stated that was reserved for our production month. It was just stated that we "could" get leftovers, "IF" there were any left. They told us not to hold our breath, at least my rep did.

But it looks like BMW pulled through for us again! Lets just hope the numbers are good.

Yup, that indication was given in February... about 6 weeks after emails and threads here on 1addicts brought the issue to light. The initial word from BMW was that MSP would not get the 1M. Luckily we drew the attention of some good folks at BMW (and ///M especially) and there were enough MSP customers willing to "vote with their wallets" that allocations were shifted around and made available

Now all we have to do is wait

the question now is, how many will they bring? i'm about 10th on the list (according to my dealer), so i'm a bit nervous. If i don't get this 1m, i will sort of be screwed... i really wanted to get a nice fast car for Germany, and outside of buying a new 1m, i am not too interested in anything else.

Yeah dude, I understand. I really think BMW could have handled the 1M's release better. No matter what they do (in any market) there will be customers left out

As much as I would LOVE a 1M, I think my conservative side is going to keep me in a 135i from pentagoncarsales.com. I'll be hitting Ramstein on 1 OCT for a 6 mo "deployment", lmao. When I do take delivery, I'd love to do more than a few laps at the ring if you guys are still around
