Question Chart 4.2l Audi vs. 4.0l BMW - anyone with skills and time to create?

I am very curious to see someone lay the BMW 4.0L (HP-TQ) chart on top of the Audi RS4 (4.2L) motor. Anyone have the skills or time? On a sidenote I am surprised BMW didn't use direct injection or a dry sump on this motor.

Exactly what you want here: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=153023 . But you need an account (free of course) to see attachments. The "bad" news is that the Rs4 motor, even though it is .2 l larger has a better peak torque and nearly the same redline. E92 M3 should punish the RS4 on the track but drags will be close IMO.

Drags from 0-60 will be close just because of the RS4's AWD traction advantage. After that the M3's 10% better power to weight will easily walk on the RS4.

Perhaps I should have stated "lower speed drags" as I agree completely with what you stated! Even though 0-60 is not synonymous with drag sometimes I let my American bias tell me it is...
