Possible problem w delete-r?

So i was driving normal and all of a sudden the SES light came on with increased emissions on the idrive.

But it disappeared after 2 mins of driving. Have had this on for about 350 miles now and this is the first time cel came on with delete r installed.

Is this normal?

Had the same thing happen to me 3 times in the last year. The CEL light goes away after a couple minutes. I don't think the delte-r works on a continuous basis but periodically clears the CEL. If you your ecu happens to catch the emissions problem from your aftermarket exhaust between these periods, the CEL light comes on.

^^Thanks for the reply. I was just afraid that I might have been getting cel for something else because I thought the light is never suppose to appear with the delete r.

You can still see what the CEL is for by checking under Vehicle Info assuming you have Nav/iDrive.

Yea this has happened twice so far in the past 3000 miles.

First time it went away after 15 seconds, second time it happened it lasted about a minute before it cleared again.

It just happens when the ECU throws a code in-between the delete-r clearing cycles.

Same happens to me randomly, probably 5 times in the last 2k miles. Waste of 400+ dollars, should have got the tune instead.

Does anybody make a tune that's flashable like Cobb does? It would be nice to be able to flash the car so the CEL doesn't come on, but when the car goes in for service be able to take the tune back out. A little ticked that the DeleteR is going to allow this to happen to the car.

So 20 seconds of CEL 5 times in 2000 miles is a waste of money
