I will also make an addendum here to stipulate that I will cover no shipping costs if you are out of the so-cal area and cannot pick the car up yourself.

Would the "apply for an auto loan" scenario really work? Usually when you get an auto loan the bank puts the title in their name. Since the $24,750 is only going toward the lease payments and BMW FS would hold onto the title until lease end, there is no way for a bank to protect their loan to you by having control over the title while you pay off the loan.
