Garage re-born

With the arrival of my new beauty queen, I decided to refresh my garage. Floors are coated with Epoxy Shield from Lowes. First I thought about doing tile, but then decided to save money for future mods. In general I am happy with results.

Thanks guys!

Here is the "Before" shot for comparison. This is the best one I have

Installation process is easy if you know how to paint which I don't
1. Paint the ceiling with ceiling paint
2. Paint walls with primer and use blue painters tape to tape off the ceiling and all the switches, trim, etc. Painting walls is not as bad as ceiling
3. Painting floor with epoxy shield is a little tricky, I just followed the instructions, they even include the video. As long as it is not freezing temperatures it will be ok. The most time you spend on is preparing the concrete (cleaning, degreasing, drying)
Good thing about doing the whole garage is that you don't need to worry about a drop cloth. Next time, I'll hire a pro painter tho

Looks awesome!

In fact, I'm repainting my garage floor today. I just use white concrete paint...my concrete is too rough and crappy to do epoxy.

Ski waxing and tuning, so much fun, but what a mess! May I suggest that you use the drop clothes you saved when painting the garage for the next time you tune up the skis? Paper doesn't work so well...

Garage looks great, really, now that the floor is painted you'll want to do that somewhere else!

Getting colder, starting to think about skiing....

I agree, I had a few rough porous spots and those spots absorbed a lot of epoxy. If my floor was in a bad shape, I'd probably settle on primer/concrete paint combo.

haha, thanks. I bought a custom sized 10'x4' Tuff Shed and moved all my crap in there. This is my dirty little secret

Thanks. Bimmers only. And, well, some bicycles. Tuff shed is full

This is in the pipeline. I am going to hang frames with my best shots from the ED trip and possibly frame my ED tourist plate I am married, so hot chick posters were not approved.

Yeah, I am an avid skier and I have always tuned my skies myself. I do use a drop cloth, for whatever reason I didn't have one when I took a picture. Mammoth just got dumped on, can't wait for the first ski trip of the season!

Looks really good. I did mine about a year ago with the Rustoleum stuff. It worked pretty well. One spot has pealed up after sitting under a very warm Pilot Super Sport tire. Other than that it's held up very well.
