I Need A Lawyer!!!
Seriously! Reaching out to the 1addicts community here, help.
I did euro delivery of 1M back in Sept. Car should be on a boat right now! At least thats what I was told. I just got back from long weekend to find this email in my inbox. I have no details beyond this. NO joke, are there any lawyers out there? I cannot accept this car after repairs. Look at it! I dont even know where the accident happened. My car was supposed to be on the Manon. The Manon just left NY/NJ and on its way to Brunswick Georgia. Im not even sure cars have been offloaded. Ive sent an email to my CA and responded back to this email - I want a new car. I have to know ALL my options. Will a laywer please PM me? "Hello Mr. xxxx, BMW Accident Notification Centre tried to reach you via phone at xxx-xxx-xxxx, unfortunately we believe this number is incorrect. Regretfully we must inform you at this time that your recently purchased 1M Series BMW was involved in an automobile accident. We are in the process of investigating the circumstances of this accident with all parties involved in the transportation of your automobile and will provide you with the details of our investigation when they become available. Please be advised BMW is committed to fully restoring your automobile back to as near as possible it's originally condition by our trained expert collision technicians. From the attached photo you can see that the damage is extensive and we do anticipate the restoration time will take approximately 6 months. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes you. Please contact me immediately to review your case. (Reference: Case - xxxxx xxxxxx) Sincerely yours, Karl Von Stuggart, BMW Accident Notification Centre Claims Representative BMW Welt Am Olympiapark 1 80809 Munich" by the way, there is a sticker on the windshield of the wrecked car. A white oval sticker. This was not on my car at dropoff. Anyone know what this white sticker is? I hoping its a case of mistaken identity.

I hope it is a case of mistaken identity as well. However BMW usually knows what car belongs to whom. I am sorry to hear about the damage to your car. Best of luck having the issue resolved. I agree I would ask for a new car.

I'm speechless. Hoping that this is a case of mistaken identity because that car looks like it was driven by a drunken 16-year old valet into several telephone poles.

WTF? Airbag deployments? BMW better start building you a new car. This makes the Pacific BMW case look like nothing and we all know that went viral.

I'm hoping mistaken identity too dude but the odds are against it
Question, did you have the chromeline exterior trim? How about tinted windows? Also, if the sticker you're referring to is the one seen in the bottom left corner of the windshield it looks like it might be the new Umwelt Zone sticker (but looks like it's the wrong color?) Were those the only pictures provided? That sticker may also be a UK Tax disc. Can anyone see if the steering wheel's on the proper (left) side?

Did your car have silver window trim? Strange if US Spec. Car in photos looks Euro or Asian spec.

Wow, that sucks! Wish I could help, but I'm no lawyer. Definitely demand a new car though.
As a side note, is that a crunched 3er in the first picture on the bottom right? Wonder if they had some dock loaders getting frisky with the toys? |

This doesn't seem 100% believable. Did you check the email source? Your dealership? Anything to verify the situation or the email? BMW would just drop in an out of focus picture? Without any other identification or reference details? Directly to you without prior notice or at least a copy to other parties? "trained expert collision technicians" - ?? "fully restoring your automobile" - ?? Setting aside the language syntax and translation issues, this sounds unprofessional and untypical. At the least ... This is bizarre at best. Regardless, good luck. |

Yeah, the name "Karl Von Stuggart" sounds a bit off as well. Especially if he maent Karl from (von) Stuttgart
Also, the accident pics were not taken in Germany as evidenced by the yellow road lines. The Germans only use yellow for temporary markings and those are painted.
