Bigfoot and the Pedal
Am I the only one who's having some difficulty with the pedals? I've been trying to work on the heel-toe stuff, and it seems kinda tight down there. Frame of reference - I'm 6'2" with shoe size 12-12.5 US. Maybe it's time to whack off a couple of tarsals.

In what way is it lacking room? I've only had a problem in the past if the brake and gas were too far apart. My 1M will hopefully be here next week, so I haven't had the chance to try it out yet. I have been wondering how conducive the pedal layout would be. My last car was horrible in that regard.
How are you trying to heel and toe? I use the left side of the ball of my foot on the brake and rock the right side of the ball of my foot to the gas so my foot stays basically parrallel to the accelerator pedal...if that makes sense. Oh and for the record, I'm 6'-3" with a size 13 foot. |

If it's anywhere near the pedal set-up of the 135i I don't see a problem, sometimes trying to actually use your heel & toe make it difficult. rocking back and forth seems to work the best. It also helps if you have the right shoes.

i definitely think it's a little harder to H/T in this car. rolling the ankle as opposed to H/T seems to work out pretty well for this car though (at least in my case). have you tried that?

6' and size US13's and I have add no issues. After having a string of 6MT in Mcars(the Z4 Mcoupe being the worst!) that were less than optimal, I thought the E90 M3 was really good.....the 1M is even better! In fact, it is almost perfect!

i find it to be a little different from what I'm used to though (although I will have to play around a little more after run-in period). It's definitely different than a "traditional" pedal setup IMO.
Traditional (where gas pedal comes from top): vs. 1M (where gas pedal comes from floor): |

Rennline Pedals. I was thinking about getting them for the 1M (I think they'd be a nice addition).
