UK Owners: Insurance!
My 1M has arrived so just sorting out the logistics/insurance, Ok so the question is, who and how did you get on?
I tried many of the performance brokers who I insure my stripped out track day opc with as not many companies will touch cars with cages, harnesses etc minus airbags and safety features etc........ Now my current used insurance companies ran a mile with the 1m and some absolute stupid quotes Though I have found Direct line and the Elephant/Admiral mob all came in at 700quid for 8000miles/year, mind I do pretty much live nigh in central London so alway that little more added......... BMW Insurance.
Had their temp 7 day insurance for pick up and switched both our policies over to them from Admiral as they were sooooo competitive. BMW (Zurich or Allianz I think) provided multi car discount too, Admirals premiums went up a few hundred quid. Basically insuring 1M, or M1 as they call it, for around £570. Over 40, claims free for 20 years and no points or convictions. |

Me and my missus are both early 30s with no points/claims etc. I payed £490 inc protected NCB with AXA. They were also a lot cheaper than anyone else when I had my M3.

6yrs NCB and no accidents/claims in 11yrs driving. I'm in my late 20's and the car is insured at my folks address in Essex. £950 with a high excess from Admiral. Tried shopping around on comparison sites and never been beaten.

I've been using Keith Michaels Insurance broker for years as one of their guys is into the Scooby scene and have always had great deals. I should be calling him soon for a quote and will let you know how I get on

My insurance quote was about £590 and that is with a fault claim earlier this year - Gary Moulson is my contact at Keith Michaels - on 0208 288 0275 - tell him Terry with the 1M recommended him and he'll do you a good deal.
