Wheel Size on Winter Setup (Tire Rack)

I am picking up a 2012 M3 with Competition Package next week and trying to order a dedicated set of winter tires/wheels before it arrives.

Tire Rack's website is suggesting to go with a 235/40R18 for all 4 tires but a staggered setup for the wheels, 18x8 and 18x9. Shouldn't the rear tires be larger than the front tires, or would this setup work appropriately? Would I be better off with going 18x8 for all four wheels?

Thanks for your help,

Matt

I just got a 235/40/18 square setup from Tirerack mounted on four identical A7 18x8 wheels. I couldn't get the website to accept this setup for my car, so I had to do some order modification via email/phone.
