Vibration

Hi all

I am a newbie so please be patient ! i have a 120D hatch 2009, at some point in the last 9 months a vibration started to come through the seats and if driving alone you see the pasenger seat shaking, there is nothing coming through the steering wheel. I have been to BMW dealership (still under warranty) who agreed that there was something going on but blamed it on the Khumo tyres fitted to the rear ( yes I have had the lectures about budget tyres). Tyres are run-flats if that is relevent. i have had the tyres balanced all round again and have swapped the fronts to rear, all to no avail (other pair is nearly new Pirellis). The vibration comes in at arond 68 mph and you cannot drive through it. I don't think that it is engine related as i have slipped into neutral at the same speed and the vibration is still there. Next step is to run the khumos down until they need replacing and fit something better. I need this problem sorting before the warranty runs out.
Any ideas ?

Have you had your alignment checked or anything like that? I've heard of bushings going bad causing weird vibrations like that, or possibly you have a slight bend in one of your wheels.

Good call. If that all checks ok, then really look close at the wear patterns on your tires also. Shifted belts in the tires can cause a hell of a vibration.
