I bought a new steering wheel....

After 60k my steering wheel looked absolutely gross.....I now how have a brand new steering wheel from tischer and I love it....no regrets....

If anyone would like to share pics of there steering wheel history thaty would be great....

It just seemed like the most logical thing to do.

Now I NEVER drive without gloves....the PH levels in the sweat found in our hands eats through the nappa leather just a fun fact

Very nice. I protect mine with protectants and conditioners religiously. How much is a new wheel?

protectants and all that wont do a better job than wearing gloves every time you grip it. (hehe) Seriously, I will always wear gloves whenever I drive Period. Every once in a while I may pet the steering wheel but since its new I intend on keeping it that way.

As for the price, youre looking at about 600.00 shipped.
Thats shipped as you see it in the picture

Do you wash your hands much? Haha

You could have just cleaned your old one; or re-covered it in alcantara or basically anything else for less than buying a new one.

Unless your old wheel was missing chunks of leather, the dirt/grime is removable. Bring it with you when you stop by here after the 13th. If you have the money for a new wheel, then hey, more power to you

When I got the steering wheel in the mail it looked and still is perfect. Now I maintain a habit of no skin contact. Detailers and mechanics alike totally understand.

maybe with an airbag 1300.00 sounds close to right but not even because even with both the airbag AND steering wheel from Tischer its still way less than 1300.00 so that dude on ebay must be high

Looks nice. I've got about 50k miles on my M wheel and never where gloves......my leather is is new as the day I installed it though.

I only clean it with an occasional warm cloth and water.

Not hating; just baffled by the fact someone would buy a new steering wheel rather than explore the option of cleaning it. As a detailer, I take pride in the fact I can make something look perfect and brand new again.

Also, it's sad to see your hands will never experience the feel of the new leather wheel you just bought. Hope your gloves are nice though. Haha

Hey Radar - could you tell me or PM me the part number? Here in Canada, those new M steering wheels are $1170, plus tax, and no airbag.

That steering wheel looks pretty sweet. I wouldn't mind having that in my Z. Too many things to buy, so little money...
