Got T-Boned :(
Got hit after picking up my dry cleaning in one shopping center and driving through an intersection (I had a green light) to another shopping center.

I feel you man. My car got hit while parked, hit and run, no note, repairs to the tune of $2600 ($1000 deductable), took 2 weeks longer than they said it would take (3 weeks total), I've had the car back for 2 weeks and I hit a deer. I lucked out and the only damage is the headlight, which is $1200. I changed my deductable down to $100.
I hope your car gets fixed quickly and is back with you ASAP. |

That sucks! Sounds like you are ok so that would be the most important thing after an accident. Yeah, I wonder what the total damage will be ?

Thanks guys. When it first happened I flipped, I have only had her for 2 months. I have cooled down since it happened and have now started to look at the positive. Mods... since the side mirror is destroyed I had the body shop order the M style retrofit mirrors. 2 wheels/tires have been damaged so ordered the Breyton Race GTS-R Black w/Red Stripe.
Haven't received an exact cost yet but up around 5K.

When I got my car and insurance, I figured if i made a claim, it would be from a crash, and at that point a grand wasn't too much to pay. I went 11 years with my last car without issue, and I've never made an insurance claim, ever, so I figured I was good.
What I didn't realize was how much it costs to fix stupid little shit like a $1200 headlight, or 3G's for a tiny scratch and dent on the fender. It's too late for these repairs, but I changed my insurance deductable to $100, and it only cost me like $12 extra a month. I would suggest doing the same, as everything on these cars is above a grand to fix, even the smallest things. Good luck. |

My heart goes out to you, Brandon. The pics made me sick to my stomach. Hope the repairs go quickly.
Since the other driver is at fault, did you discuss with your insurance company going after them for dimminished value? You will likely receive less value for your car when you trade it or sell it because of this crash, so getting something now from the other driver will help offset that future loss. Best wishes to you. RSB (San Fernando Valley) |

In any case, I'm definitely sorry to hear about the car getting t-boned. It really sucks when something out of your control causes an inconvenience like that. |

the fool is trying to claim that I ran a red light and although my insurance company found me not at fault I may still be responsible for my deductible… $1000
What matters is what the police report says. If that says you are not at fault and you have your insurance company pay for the repairs they will make you responsible for the deductible until they get paid from the other persons insurance and then you will be reimbursed the deductible. |

Sorry to hear that. I know your pain. Hopefully it will be a speedy repair. And def press for diminished value from the other party.

Ideally there are witnesses that can corroborate your story, but in practice it doesn't always happen that way. Even if somebody saw it happen, most likely they'd just drive away. What would be the proper thing to do from an insurance pov? |
