Offset question: 18x8 BBS CH with adapters
Hello all. To start off, my car is a 2010 135i Sport. I've searched around the forum a bit but haven't found a specific answer, so I appreciate any help you have to offer.
I am receiving a set of 18x8 BBS CH wheels in a trade for an old fiat I've had sitting around. They are unfortunately 5x112, so I will need adapters to run them. Here is my question: I am not very well versed in offset terminologies, but was told the wheels have an offset of et50, which seems to be close to the stock offset. It seems the narrowest 5x120 -> 5x112 adapters I can find are 20mm, which would then bring the offset to et30? If that is correct, should I consider wider adapters in the front as the front offset is already et40ish? I would like a fairly aggressive stance, the car has the sport package and stock suspension/wheels on it currently, but will be upgrading to H&R sport springs soon. The tires currently on the BBS's are 215/35's, so with that stretch I don't THINK I have to worry about rubbing, but if anyone has experience running similar sizes and offsets it would be a great help. Thanks |
