Yes, it can. I have mine coded along with some other goodies. When I hold the lock button on the fob, the windows and roof will close and the mirrors fold in. I LOVE IT! I also had the Euro hazzard lights done and got rid of the annoying Nav warning when the vehicle is turned on, turned off the ambers, turned on the digital speedometer, and my the rear fog lights go on when I hit the brakes (not nearly as bright or annoying as Audi's rear fogs).

Find someone with the software in your area. Good luck out in Hawaii!
Seriously though, when you finish your Mai Tai, check out the regional forum and see if anyone has the software and cable. You might get lucky!

I disagree slightly. Maybe it's unique to US spec cars, but euro BMW's have two completely separate functions on the key fob as follows:
1. Every BMW car (as standard) can have all the windows and sunroof simultaneously opened by holding the unlock button down for 3 seconds or more. This is called "Auto Opening". They can also be closed by holding the lock button for the same length of time. Why?... to let the heat out on a hot summer day before you get in. Also standard on all Audi, VW etc. 2. "Comfort Access" is an option (if purchased) that is accessed through the settings menu under 'locks' and allows the owner to double click the unlock button to partially open the coupe front windows. Why? ... it makes it easier to get in if you are in a tight parking spot without stabbing yourself in the eye on the edge of the frameless glass. Comfort Access can be disabled through the menu by selecting 'drivers door' or 'all doors' instead, but you cannot disable the Auto Opening function.

Yup, my keyfob does nothing with the windows. Period.
I didn't think CA was worth a grand, but I really like that mod4cars smarttop module that audi4t mentioned above. It has features that CA doesn't have, like one-touch top operation and remote side-mirror folding. Video on site below shows it in use: http://www.mods4cars.com/sms/shop/in...de=view&id=115 I just need to find someone who can install it for me in South Florida.

You're right, thanks, I am thinking of the Convenience Package.
I don't actually care about slotting the key or the door lock/unlock stuff. To me the only thing that's really useful about it is being able to drop the top remotely. But this other device will do the same thing *and* adds one-touch to the interior buttons. That's huge -- I raise/lower the top while moving all the time, but it's a pointless nuisance to hold that button in.
