VIR Jan 29-29

The TrackUSA and Mustang group will he holding two open track days at VIR this month. So, any on you who want to get the adrenalin flowing early, this is a very good way to kick off the season. Nice group of guys to run with, however, they drive mostly Fords (Mustang) so you will have to be careful and not run over them. Hopefully, the weather will be considerate.

What's the weather like in the Danville/Alton area at the end of Jan? How about snow?

Well, from experience, I have been there during this period with (lucky) mild weather - 55 - 60 degrees, sunny. On the other hand, I have seen ice at the track, and the event was delayed one day, then canceled the following with a snow storm on the horizon. So, pick em.

That's basically what I was expecting to hear - hit or miss! All of my previous trips to VIR have been between July-Oct.

Looking forward to seeing you again at VIR this year. I've got a new suspension to try out.

Not sure I can make it out in January but I hope to get up there in Feb or Mar.
