Looking for good All Season tires for 135
I have a 2010 135 with M-Sports. Car has the 261 wheels and will be needing new rubber soon. I live in LI, NY and occasionally need to drive in light snow conditions. the car is my DD. Most of the time car will not see the white stuff.
I dont want to have to get a winter only setup and am willing to sacrifice some summer performance. Any help appreciated. |

For allseasons my best guess would be BFGs or Continentals.
Although my only experience is with truck tires for my Mountaineer, so maybe take it with a grain of salt. |

no idea. I just threw out a pair of brands that I have experience with and really like.
Check TireRack out, thats where I get everything. If you dont car about snow all that much you should do a 225/255 setup, which is fair, LI snow is a joke all but 2 days of the year. I do a summer/winter swap on 17"s and my 302 Merc rides on 15"s |

I was just looking at those on the site. Im going to check out costco and see if they have them and if they'll work since they're a little wider than the stock tires. I think I'll go with them if they wont rub anywhere. Thanks.

NP Youll be fine. I ran a 225/255 setup for 3 years before I switched to my pair of 17"s. My sig pic was taken on a set of 225/255 snow tires |

I freaking love my Conti DWS All Seasons. It's all I'll run on any car I own for winter use!

+1 For the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. Pretty much the go-to all-season tire right now! If you can get them I'd highly recommend them.

They are great in rain too. Drove 950 from Tulsa Oklahoma to St. Clairsville, Ohio in two days, and it rained the whole way nonstop. I had my cruise set on 80-85 and never had a scary moment in the rain. These DWS inspire so much confidence in adverse conditions.

I chose a different path. I am into my 2nd winter with these and I love them. I have used these for the past 10000 miles. These are my DD tires. They perform really well in the summer too. Better than my summer OEM RFTs.
Would 100% buy again. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus I did consider the DWS also. Prolly cant go wrong with either one. Let us know

Needed to add:
HOLY CRAP did tires go up in price. I paid under $800 in Sept '10. Now the same Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus 225/255 will be just under $1000. 25% more in 16 months??? WOW

Hmm weird. My summer tires also got more expensive, by about $15 a tire. Maybe rubber just went up? |

Yeah, I don't think the time of the year will matter, I paid $1000 for the PS A/S Plus back in Aug. from tirerack, Costco may be a little cheaper though if they're doing one of their sales. They work great in the cold though, sub freezing the past few days, glad to have them.

I've had conti dws on my 530xi in the past. they were very nice tires. Ride was great, handling was pretty good for the summer.
We had it out in the snow last year and it was ok on the dws, but i was hitting the dtc often, the braking was worse, steering was as well. Went to snows about mid season last year and it was much better. It was my first x drive BMW, and comparing it to my previous quattro audis with snow tires it was quite bad, so i wasn't sure if it was the tires or system. When i went to snows i think it was nearly as good as the audi, so rubber definitely made a difference, even from the DWS tires. Seems the DWS gets the best marks for light snow; but when it comes down to it, they surely won't compare to true winters or true summers. That being said, they did seem to wear well; however, i don't know how they'll hook in the summer in a big power rwd car.
