PlastiDip update

I PlastiDipped my ZCP wheels 3 months ago.
The finish after 3 months was still 100% - and I take the car through a brushless car was every couple of weeks.

I had to replace my tires last week... as expected the process did remove some of the PlastiDip from the edge of the rims. Pics attached.

Here is the great news... i simply cleaned and dried the wheels and did a touch up spray job. It took 1 1/2 hours. The result is 99.9% of what it was before! Painless. Pic attached

Brace for flame from the haters.... I think its cool though. I Plasti'd wheels in the past and was happy with it. Good to know you can just touch it up, though the picky side of me may convince me to respray the whole wheel, haha.

Be careful with those conveyer car washes. They can really scratch up your rims. I'd always go hand-wash only if possible.

It would have been funny to mess with the tire shop and blame them for scraping your wheels lol!

I have been pressure washing mine a couple times a week and they look flawless. This stuff has really impressed me.

Durability is great.

matt black finish is awesome - I get many more complimentary comments than I did with the stock finish. Also - it takes forever to even start looking dirty!

Regarding the washing:
My wife takes it through the drive-thru brushless wash (absolutely not the rail type)
I take it to the automated hand wash, I simply make sure that when I use the high-pressure spray I keep it about 3 feet away from the wheels.
