Widest tires for 19" OEM rims E92 M3

I need help with tire sizes.

What is the widest tires for the stock 19" rims without fender rub for a daily drive and track use?

I believe the width of the rims are 9.5 front 245/35/19 tires and 10.5 rear 265/35/19 tires.

My car is lowered with KW V3 if it make any difference.

Thank you in advance.

The wheel sizes are actually 8.5 front and 9.5 rear so you are basically at widest set up. You can get away with 275 in the rear. A lot of the track guys run square setup so you have a neutral balance in grip where as staggered causes more understeer due to the rears having more grip than the fronts.

Technically...you can run 255 or 265 front and 285 or 295 rear. My tire guy tells me you can usually get away with wider on 18's because they have a bit more sidewall flex.

However...these are not recommended. I can attest that 265 on 18's up front is not a good idea, as I had a set of RS3's that like to slip on the rims. 285s on the rears worked fine, BTW.

If you are going to do a fair number of track days and/or autocross, I would highly recommend getting a square setup of 18x10's with 275/35-18 tires.

With the ZCP wheels ( 9x19 and 10x19) you can fit 275/30/19's in front and
295/30/19 in back. These sizes maintain the standard 2% diameter difference that the stock tires have for interacting with the DSC.

The 30series is required to reduce the diameter enough so you can fit the larger width without rubbing. No problems with my car ( a E92) and slightly tighter in back with a E90. And I am running AD08's which are quite square.

You put a 265 tire on a 8.5in rim?? No wonder it didn't work out well. You need a bigger rim to support that size of a tire.

220Ms can support 255 front, 275 rear, up to a 285 if you want to push it.
ZCPs can do 255-265 F, up to a 295 Rear

Camber and suspension play big rolls

If you're 100% stuck suspension and camber, and want to run a track-daily style tire, I'd recommend a 245/35/19 F 275/35/19 R AD08
If you have ZCPs, and want to be aggressive... you can try 265/30 295/30...

Thanks guys.

I upgrades my track wheels to 18X10 and placed 285/30/18 RS3. But if I were to do it again, I would get 18X10.5 or even 18X11 wheels and use 295/40/18.
I don't track my M3 any more because I blew my motor in 2013. Replacing with new engine was very expensive. M3 is an expensive track car to maintain so I only use M3 as daily driver.

I track AP2 S2000 as my dedicated track car and I use 17X10 VOLK CE28 RT with 255/40/17 RS3. I love my S2000. Its cheap, reliable, best bang for your buck, and S2000 is fast.

^ haha a really late response OP.

Though you can mash fatter tires on stock wheels, I prefer a very slight stretch of the tire, especially for the fronts. Even with stiff sidewalled tires, if it's muffin'd a little the steering response gets a little lazy. I can't imagine the steering slop you'd feel with a muffin'd RS-3 or PSS. You can certainly adapt and still be fast as it's all driver preference.
