19x9.5 ET24 Front - Will it fit? Final check before buying

About to pull the trigger on a set of wheels. I've done a ton of hunting in this forum and others and I believe everything will work properly from anecdotal evidence, but just to settle the nerves I've decided to post it up.

So, will it fit with no fender / suspension mods?

19x9.5 ET24 on 265/35R19 front&rear - OEM E90 susp, no EDC

Rear is guaranteed to be fine, but I'm not sure on the front. I'm running 19x8.5 ET18 on 235/30R19 right now with plenty of space so I think that the width increase combined with the reduced offset will equal out to only a mild increase.

Thanks for the input

IMO, absolute flush in the front is 9.5" ET20. Anything below that number will stick out some.

9.5" ET24 will be fine; I used to run 9.5" ET22 and my new wheels will be 9.5" ET20.

If you run a 265/35/19, there's a good chance you'll rip through your fender liner
Too tall of a tire

Run a 265/30/19, 275/30/19 or a 255/35/19 tire.

Good to hear. What tire did you run?

I'm aiming for a completely square setup and I'd balk at using a 265/30R19 or 255/35R19 rear. How do the 275/30R19's fare in back? Is a square setup even possible at this size without additional camber?

Youll need more negative camber in front than what stock top hats can do usually to clear most 275 tires in front. Most cars weve done 275 in front would be using KW clubsports with camber plates running about a 9.5 +15-17 offset for reference.

You can run those sizes just fine.

Just did an M3 with 19x9.5 front with ET 20. 265/35/19 Michelin PS2 up front. No rubbing, no problem. Stock camber settings, lowered on H&R springs.

I used to have 275/30-19 in the 9.5" ET22; I will run 265/30-20 in the 9.5" ET20.

Still getting enough mixed messages to doubt, including from my own math:

For the front, going from 245/35R19 to 265/35R19 is an 0.5" increase in rolling diameter (2%). 10mm is 0.4" additional width total (0.2" outboard). 2mm offset change is 0.080" farther inboard. Net change at full lock should be about 0.68" closer to fender lining. That doesn't seem like enough to scrub.

From what I can tell, the primary concern is scrubbing the forward fender liner at full lock. The "Will it Rub?" thread is giving me similarly-mixed information. I even tried building a 2D cross-section of the fender but I'm missing just enough data to make the study mostly worthless :/

I did not rub with 275/30-19, but those were Continental DW tires. Particular tires could be rounder, more squared or in between even with the same exact size.

That's actually the exact tire I had in mind. Good to know.

2003 RS6 - Sold  [0.00]
2009 e90 M3 - Gone  [0.00]

Just a data point, but I ran 265/40-18 (same height as 265/35-19) PS2s on a square 9.5x18 et23 and wore a hole in the rear of the front wheel well liner. I think there might be a tad less room in the front of the e90s than the e92s. Truth be told, I liked that square set-up so much I think the hole was worth it.

If you don't run a wide/square tire, like say a RE 11 or AD08, you'll be able to fit more tire

Yeah, I wonder how the Continental DW's fare in corner radius...

Does anyone know off-hand if the 275/30R19 (3.1% smaller radius from OEM) will cause any concerns with DSC? I've seen +/-2% being thrown around as the 'safe zone.'
