19" Miro M6 Replicas
My wife purchased this set of wheels a while back and ran them on her 3 series before trading it in. These monsters have been sitting in the garage for a while and since the winter here in the NorEast has been a joke, I decided to see if they fit on the 135.
Here are the specs on the setup: Fronts: 5x120 19x8.5 et35 815kg 235-35-19 BF Goodrich G-Force T/A Rear: 5x120 19x9.5 et33 815kg 265-30-19 BF Goodrich G-Force T/A They are huge. Fronts have been okay but I havent driven too hard because of the rears. I may raise up a little bit.The rears are rubbing over uneven surface. I have a KW variant 1 setup in the car and I have about another 1/4" maybe to raise in the rear...maybe a bit more if im feelin frisky. thats my next move. I may need 255/245s on the rear to make this work but im far from giving up this battle. Lots of grip here. Some poke. Last edited by FactoryFast; 02-07-2012 at 11:00 PM.. |

Running stretched tires just seems lame. It basically says you want to look really cool, but you can't afford a proper solution.

Stretch and stance is definitely a style and its not for everyone. I also feel at times the practice is dangerous...
Im trying to ride a thin line here... I also agree that this whole damn situation should have never happened. My buddy got me playing wheels one day and its been over a month of torture since. Usually I do things the right way, but im out of work at the present moment, so cheap and dirty is the name of the game. Im also in too deep financially at this point, so I either wind up with a set of rims that "work" on the car or im going to have a set of fresh rims and quite a few tires to sell... I have the two front rims out for repair. I found a local guy for $90 a rim but it was too late and they went out to another shop for a slightly higher amount. No big deal, but I agree the one rim was in bad shape and required attention. After a couple of other failed tire fitments i presently have a 235 35 19 tire on the rear. Rub is still present in the rear under load. I have a scheduled appointment to max out the neg camber in the rear next week to see if that corrects the situation. Im not going to put 225 35 19s on in the rear, this is as far as I go. Hopefully things turn around for me in the coming weeks so I can stop messing around with this set and just order the Rotiforms ive had my eye on...things are looking good so far. Time will tell. I have the KWs maxxed at the highest and its further up than I would like. This is the result to date: Im sure the alignment shop is going to get a good amount of neg camber next week as the suspension was originally aligned close to 4 threads from being maxed to its lowest...I don't need much to have these fit and i hope there is enough adjustment to tuck these bad boys in :fingerscrossed: |

UPDATE:
fellow 1Addict "snertz" lent some insight on adjusting the rear to achieve moAr negative camber from the stock bits. I also went up a little moAr with the coils. Here is the current result: Bent rims are out to repair. Should be back already so ill check in to shop tomorrow. Acquired Two brand new General Exclaim UHP tires in 225 35 19 from an old VW buddy for $200. Im figuring that with how this setup is, i doubt im going to need a serious performer of a tire so it works out going bottom barrel budget baller. "Quadruple B" Ladies and Gentlemen, we are VERY close to acceptable fitment here. With TWO people in the car (550lbs), heavy load is required to achieve rub a dub dub. Driving the car hard is scary as the car feels like it wants to flip over either because of the ridiculous staggered fitment or maybe how when I manipulated the camber I also affected toe. Im thinking both lol. Proper alignment in pro shop is on the list of finishing touches. So whats my next move in this game of wheels? Keep 235 35 19s on rear, hope alignment shop gets me a little more neg camber and accept rub with two persons in car? I have to take a solo lap to see how rub is. Remove 235 35 19s and install 22 35 19s on rear? This move may eliminate all rub...money is tight but these General's are CHEAP! Im thinking this is the ultimate move here, just going to set me back a few hundred and another week... Last edited by FactoryFast; 03-11-2012 at 06:50 PM.. |

Okay, Rims are back from repair and look great.
Executive Decision: 225 35 19s are going on the rear. Sold all the tires that I started with since none of them fit. General Exclaim UHPs are Discontinued...awesome! So now I have to run rims that dont want to really fit AND mismatched tires...its a whole new ME this season! So I ordered 215 35 19 Triangle tires...yea...they looked round on the website, but two new triangles for $214 shipped...only God knows whats coming. Caution: Dont mess with your suspension Geometry unless you have another car or no place to go. Luckily I don't have to be anywhere right now. My car handles like crap and rear tire scream around turns like im doing 130. Pushed Alignment to Thursday in hopes tires will delivered and mounted by then. Almost there!!! Where?!?!? If there isnt a Done Dirty Sticker Im going to make one! Last edited by FactoryFast; 03-13-2012 at 12:25 AM.. |

How's this working out for you? I ask because I'm getting a set of Miros from another forum member with the same specs except for the rear wheel offset, which is ET45. He says there's no rubbing issues, and I believe him, but I'm trying to get a feel for exactly how much room there is in the back. Front seems fine, and I'm hoping the offset difference on the rears will allow me to run the rims with my car lowered without running into any problems. Any insight would be awesome

Hey guys. Yes, I have all rims/tires mounted, balanced and on the car. I had an alignment done. Running -2.3 camber out rear, -1 in front. Was able to go down on the KWs a few cm.
Rubbing under heavy load in REAR Only +/- 80mph with 2 persons (460lbs). I am acquiring a fender roller and going to make my buddy with the body work knowledge help me with the heat gun. Im going to give it a shot. I only need a little bit more and i have options. These wheels are going to fit. The cheapo tires feel good so far. Found a rip in a valve stem. it was replaced this morning. |

Definitely keep us updated! Quote:
He maxed his negative camber on the stock parts, and he's rolling his fender, which is a very minor process. How is he ruining his car? I don't understand your logic at all, he didn't even add camber plates or anything. Did jzhang ruin his car? Most people on here find it a work of art and he has his fenders rolled more than Factory Fast is going to require. Does FLOSS ruin cars? He gets PAID to find odd rims and help them fit. Does it ruin a car to put on an intake or exhaust? After all, you're taking out the old one that BMW did R&D on.. Fitting wheels with odd fitments is hardly ruining a car, especially when BMW gave us such weird offsets that almost no wheels come in. If you don't like the wheels themselves, that's another story. But people have been trying to get interesting wheels to fit since cars and wheels ever became a hobby, and I say more power to FactoryFast for doing something different rather than the same 3 brands of CSL or mesh style rims ad nauseum like everyone else on here.

I did this all for about $400 out of pocket so far...so I dont see where i was fiscally wasteful in this experiment. Im unemployed so ive got plenty of time. This is taking time to complete but because its not an exact science and resources are low. Ive done a couple clicks on tirerack plenty of times, this is more satisfying to me at this time and i trust my abilities to successfully complete this experiment. I dont know what rock you crawled out from under pal, but go back. Next time bring some real flame. I love constructive criticism. What is the key word in the previous sentence? Excellent and Thanks.

I believe theres a couple tenths of camber, couple cm's of height left in the adjustment.
Just had 3 people in the car with groceries (+/- 700lbs) with very minor rub during normal driving.
