Question NASA, HPDE, CCA.. help!

Guys i really wanna join a group or participate in time trials in my home town. I've done research but I'm so confused with all these acronyms that i don't know which way to look anymore. The only event im participated are a few autox sessions with a local group called Equipe rapide. I wanna move up to better tracks or more serious events, ride with instructors or so on. Can someone please guide me in the ride direction, i live down in Miami and i'll like to stick around here if possible before having to travel as i don't have any means to do so. The closes thing we have to a race track is Homestead speedway and Pal beach international race track. I'm not just familiar with the the clubs and regulations, any advise would be really appreciated.

Checkout Hooked on Driving, they usually have events at Homestead. Also, trackweekend.com has a calendar with upcoming events and which club is holding them. I think there's a Homestead HPDE with HOD (hookedondriving.com) coming up on March 3rd.

You may wish to check out this site, Motorsportsreg.com
They list a lot of events that you could participate in.
Good luck.

Guys I really appreciate your help, I search around and indeed chin is in the area and will be in homestead last weekend of February. I'll see if I have time enough to sit in this event. Thanks again for the info.

You are lucky, like myself to be 3hrs or less from three great tracks, Sebring, Homestead, and PBIR which I would rank in that order. Winterfest held every January with NASA, PBOC and BMWCCA is the premier event in Florida which I would not miss. I think the postings above have most of the groups covered, I would add PCA. I have first hand knowledge and can recommend all PCA, PBOC, and BMWCCA events that include top notch instruction and instructors. I've heard mixed reviews of non Porsche or BMW club events. Do you research, ask questions and have fun!

Winterfest I've heard of that, of I had only known I would have definitely been there. I'll check into those clubs you mentioned and do some more research. Right now I know hooked on driving is having hosting something beginning of march so ill probably take a ride with them. Thanks again, all this info is really valuable.
