staggered tires on non-staggered wheels
Anyone know of any downside to running 215/40 front, 245/35 rear on 18x8 wheels at 4 corners? It's for a daily driver. I know there are staggered wheel sets out there but most are CSL/multi-spoke/mesh styles and I'm trying to find something different and easier to clean. But the choices are confined to an 18x8 square setup.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.

The only downside is now you can't rotate. But that's what I'd do, otherwise you end up running a narrow tire in the rear which doesn't work with all the power our cars put down. Btw, I'd probably consider using 225's in the front.

Eyeman, I agree with you on the 225's but the front 215's are still new so I'll run them down first. I know what you mean about narrow rear tires. I kept the 17" wheels with 205 winter tires from my old 128i. The rears just do not hook up confidently on hard cornerings.
