1M in One Lap of America

MDORPHN (my AW 1M) and I will be departing this Thursday for Tire Rack headquarters in South Bend, Indiana to compete in the week long One Lap of America.

I've run this event 8 of the last 10 years with co-driver Woody Hair and we've had a couple of class wins and top 20 finishes in my previous car -- a much-modified '99 M Coupe. My 1M will be running in SSGT2-Small Bore and I'll be dividing the tracks with Woody.

This year's schedule:

Saturday, May 5
Tire Rack wet skid pad
South Bend Motor Speedway
Autobahn Country Club (Joliet, IL)

Sunday, May 6
Mid-America Motorplex (Pacific Junction, IA)

Monday, May 7
Hallett Motor Racing Circuit (Hallett, OK)

Tuesday, May 8
High Plains Raceway (Deer Trail, CO)

Wednesday, May 9
Motorsports Park Hastings (Hastings, NE)
+ autocross

Thursday, May 10
Brainerd Internt'l Raceway (Brainerd, MN)
+ drag strip (et and bracket)

Friday, May 11
Road America (Elkhart Lake, WI)

Saturday, May 12
Tire Rack dry skid pad

Let's get out there and support MDORPHN. Even if you're not near a track, but only along the route you could look for the cars en route to their next stop.

We must run street tires (and not the DOT-R variety). One set for the entire event and no trailering the car.

I'll be running Michelin Pilot Super Sports. 265/35-18 front, 285/35-18 rear.
