First post: E92 M3 Track rims arrive!
Hi All,
At the end of May I'm trading in my '06 E46 325ci MSport for an 08 E92 M3 Jerez Black. Today the 18X10 rims arrived. Next week the Nitto NT-01 275/35-18 square set up will be installed. First track dates are June 9-10 at Le Circuit at Mont Tremblant. Very excited to say the least. I've attached a bad iPhone photo. |

The rims are the TRMotorsports MT1 from Tire Rack. I was surprised that they shipped with BMW centre caps. Now I just have to wait for the car that goes with them!

I just did take a quick look at the track forum. Tons of great info there. This entire forum seems loaded with great stuff. Looking forward to exploring it further.

Congrats! You'll love tracking the M3. Will it be your first ever trip to the track?

Car54, not my first track experience, I've had my E46 325ci up to both Calabogie and Mont Tremblant a few times. I've had a total of 9 days on track. The M3 is a serious upgrade for me. I have a Ground Control adjustable suspension in the current 3 but I'm a bit lazy so am looking forward to just pushing the "M" button and having the EDC do all of that manual labour for me. BTW. Nice rig you've got there!

They are Tirerack house brand. I have a set of the same for my E46 but the spoke pattern is different. I like the look of these new ones better. On their site they say the construction is "1pc Gravity cast". From what I've read they are made by Enzei for Tirerack. To be honest, they are relatively cheap, look good and got decent web reviews for track use. As the driver, I'm currently the weak link with my 325ci and I'll be the even weaker link with the M3. A couple of lbs of rim weight isn't going to translate to much on the track, and most importantly, won't affect how much fun I'm having at all.
