Matte Silver 1M
German forum member mikeedler had his 1M wrapped in Oracle foil in the Lambo color (a touch of gunmetal, however a lighter shade of E46 M3 CSL Silver Gray):
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=599753 Below is another German 1M, apparently featuring a matte silver wrap and M3 GTS rims. Nice (although I would have opted for gunmetal rims ). Was spotted in Harlem (The Netherlands) on May 9, 2012. (source: http://www.autogespot.nl/bmw-1-serie-m-coupe/2012/05/09)

Artemis - do you know who bought this car Mike built for the American soldier down in Stuttgart? I understand the car was sold to a German and BMW AG had to do some serious repairs to make the car street legal again (for German TÜV). ??? |

In Belgium specific regulations exist regarding tuning limitations (street legal). Very strict. Leading threads about that particular Matte Grey wrapped 1M:
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...49&postcount=1 BMW Mil: "It belongs to a customer that has just been stationed there. Once all the work is done he will pick up the vehicle and take it home to Stuttgart." http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...&postcount=102 mikeedler: "Car is a U.S. model. The trim is also shadowline, was just covered in foil too. I am not the owner, the owner is a soldier in the U.S. Army stationed over here." http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...4&postcount=17 jay-zi: "Mmmmh... What about the black front side windows? As far as I know this isn't allowed in Germany. Have you got the chance to certify it for the TÜV?" http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...3&postcount=47 Elsabor67: "That 1M is US-specifications and doesn't go through the TÜV, per se. It is inspected and registered on the US military base. The inspection for americans is not as stringent as the German TÜV but it is still done by Germans and they ensure that the vehicle is road worthy and safe. The front window tints aren't allowed for us either but after the vehicle is inspected most people install them." http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...8&postcount=51 mikeedler: "Well. the car is back [April 2012] and the owner has just let me know he wants to sell the car before returning back to the U.S. If there is any interest in the car, it is in Bamberg, has about 2000 miles on it now. PM me for any other info you would like." http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...&postcount=118 ///1M: "Why do all the mods if you're going to turn around and sell right away? First of all, the car is magnificent. I don't dispute that. However, the seller should not expect to recover the full investment. The final product will not be inexpensive, and it may prove challenging to find a buyer with exactly the same tastes. Another risk concerns the warranty. I'm sorry that the seller has to part with this work of art!" http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...&postcount=119 chuckthis: "I live in Stuttgart and have to say this car is gorgeous in person. I've tried to catch up in my E36 but never had a chance to talk to the owner. I just joined here but if you could send me the details on what the owner is looking for or have contact info for him please send to [...]. Or give me a call at [...]" http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...&postcount=120 Rikx1M: "Amazing car and a sad situation. That you've put all this blood, sweat, and probably a tear or two into this car for it to be sold from under you...wish I lived in Bamberg so you could work on my car...great job Mike!!!" http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...&postcount=122 chuckthis: "It's a sad situation, but could be good for another enthusiast. I would love the opportunity to give this ride a great home." http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...&postcount=123 mikeedler: "I still have all of the original parts wrapped in plastic- can all be put back on the car too. I will talk to the owner and give him your number to contact you. I had the wheels done at the bodyshop of a friend of mine a few blocks from my house. The window tint is 5%. all the way around. yeah, It's really sad to see the car go, I am not sure of the reasons why the car must be sold...... but yeah, it is really sad." http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...&postcount=125
