brake pads warning...
how can i disappear this message from the screen.. every time i start the engine it appears
also i would like to cancel the seatbelt sound is there any tool in the market can do this |

Maybe look in your owners manual to see what you can do about it. But I would think, if you have the Idrive, you could go in there and do it or you would be able to do it on the DIC on the dash.

Brake pad warning is due to a brake pad wear sensor tripping. It's one-time-use. The pad has a sensor attached that wears against the rotor when the pad gets low enough. After the plastic coating of the sensor gets worn off, the sensor's internal metal wire touches the rotor and grounds out and trips the light.

If you replaced your brakes and you are still getting the pad wear message - you can reset the warning light. See my DIY on resetting service due lights or use a BT scan tool or go see a dealer.
You can also have the warning reminder coded out of you BC and or iDrive. You will need to seek out someone who knows how to code our cars though. |
