track weekend on Nordschleife

here is one vid

May 26, 2012 Nurburgring. 6 Speed Manual, ESS 575 Kit, fabspeed High Flow cats, and xpipe, so pushing around 600 bhp... 2 additional people in the car and AC is on.. Tires are Continentals (street tires), stock brakes. First minute or two I was warming up the tires.

I'm a bit lazy to upload pics to the site...

There were maaaaany cars there this weekend, as it was all sunny, monday is a holiday. There were also a lot of crashes, saw E36 m3 smashed and pretty much anytime they would let the bikes on someone would crash. I got a ride and nice couple of lessons from this guy with a 997 GT3 (470hp), and man... I am in love with that car, and now understand why they call it "the king of the ring"

why were your eyes hurt? the bugs? sorry about those, I couldn't get them off for the life of me!!! Trip to Nring is 250km away from the house, so you are bound to get the bugs, and can't take them off with the wiper at the gas station.

you know, I can't say that i improved my time by much... would really need much better (track) tires to be able to use all the extra power. Although I have to say, the load on the engine is a bit less... I don't need to use 2nd gear anymore (in this vid I did), and mostly I can shift early and not redline the car.

This was my 3rd lap with the SC, I did a total of 9... my last 2 were the best ones. I met a guy with a GT3 997, so he was helping me out with turns (rode with him couple of laps), so towards the end I was very well keeping up with him.
