Hi all, I'm wondering what 18" wheels and tires you like for all-around awesomeness? (80-90% street and commuting; and they will see some light track use). Priorities are performance, with enough road compliance for daily use. Not wanting to break the bank though..!

I'm hoping that this specific driving profile will fit some other forum members and will be interesting enough to warrant a unique thread.

Don't know about the wheels, but you won't beat some version of Michelin PSS; great traction all conditions and great longevity both on road and at track.

For value and performance, hard to beat Michelin PSS mounted on Apex ARC-8 wheels.

+1. You may want to check out their new wheel style as well. Just as nice.

I'm tempted to get 3 piece 18" CCW Classics with a wide set up. 18x10 and 18x11.5

I agree... Especially for what the OP will use them for.... Arc 8s have awesome styling similar to OEM, readily available and relatively inexpensive. Lighter than stock in 18s.... and the PSS are better in nearly all conditions than the OEM tire, including more grip at the rear which means the traction control light comes on less in DSC-on or MDM driving.

Do beware that the PSS may chunk badly in HOTTT temps... In May in Colorado, the temps were just around 90 and no one had any issues, but the temps in kansas were closer to the mid 90s. I saw several sets begin to chunk in Kansas at the Flat Out Classic in June.
