Lowering 1M on Aus roads
Hi
I am looking at getting either H&R or Eibach lowering springs. Which would have the better ride quality on Aus roads? Recommendations please. Also like the look of 10mm front 12mm spacers in conjuction with lowering springs from pics on the forum. Does anyone have spacers on their 1M in Aus? Feedback. Cheers |

I lowered the M with H&R sport springs.. 1.4 inch front and 0.6 inch rear. The lowered ride IMO is far better than OEM. Steering seems more precise and handling vastly improved. I run 240KP front and 220KP rear on the OEM tyres. Spacers are illegal in most states in Oz for street use, but OK for track. Dont think I would put spacers on the front, as I felt once or twice, a bit of tyre rub, on full lock right hand down, doing a U turn, with a slight gradient in the road. |

which is very silly, considering you put forces on your car, on the track, many times in excess of the road.. if spacers were a safety concern, it'd be a significantly worse one on the track -_-

Yeah but how many boy racers of maccas carparks spend money to go to the track, I think it's a lowest common denominator thing.

i mean.. +25mm track increase max pretty much makes any performance modified car illegal down there.. luckily up here i don't believe there's such laws. |

Read up on your State's road laws.. From page 19:- The fitting of spacers or adaptors between wheels and hubs, additional to those provided by the vehicle manufacturer, is not permitted. http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/~/media/c7..._vehicles2.pdf |

I wonder how you can get spacers 'engineered'?
Porsche sells them as a factory option on one of their special models of 911. Then again they also sell 911s with rollcages :/ |

i believe here in aus it'd be the same deal as engineering any mod... take it to an engineer and get a mod plate

Half cages in coupes with all portions of the cage behind the back of the driver's seat.
