Tint recommendations

Hey guys,

I've searched this but did not reach a conclusive answer. I have a 2012 X5D and the rear doors and back seem to have some sort of privacy tint (very light).

I'm used to 20% all the way around. What do you think would work here? I'd like to match the all the windows (minus windshield). Do you think 20% on the front doors then 50% on the back would work?

Has any of you solved this issue? Pictures would be great!

Thanks! Kevin

I did the ceramic tint all the way around and had them make everything uniform. Not sure what # they used but they had to darken the rears more to match how dark I wanted the front windows... I also did a light tint on windshield.

i did 15% all around on mine. the back windows are about a 35% stock so i did another 35 on them and they matched the front. i'd do the same if I were you. heres some pics i took last winter

Thanks guys. I had 15% all around on my E90 but this is my wife's car so i want to go no lower than 20%. Another option is to do 35% on the fronts and check for match with factory. Thanks for the advice guys.

By the way did anyone notice the difference in ceramic vs. regular tint? is it worth paying extra $$ for it?
does it really reflect light and heat out???

You can feel the difference between regular and ceramic. The X5 is much cooler. I have ceramic on all the windows including windshield and sunroof.

Is it worth the $$? Upto you. My kids and wife definitely notice it and don't like driving in my car in the hot summers.
