New E92///M owner checking in

2012 Jet Black Coupe 6MT Fox Red interior / Carbon Black Leather trim Apps package MDrive package Competition package Glass Sunroof ---------------------- Hi all, I've been hanging around the forum since June when my car went into production, trying to get myself more familiar with this car before becoming an owner. Also with great help from Jamie and encouragement from other members, I was busy stalking its shipping all the way to my city. 3 nights ago I finally took delivery, I just thought to start a thread to share some photos as well as my thoughts as I enjoy this ultimate ///Membership experience  Here are some iPhone photos on delivery night.

After putting on couple hundreds kms on the clock the last few days, took a little time this afternoon and took some close-up photos with my real camera. Still not the greatest work I want to take of the car but better than iPhone stuff

Thank you all for the kind words and warm welcome!
Here are more photos I took today. First time I had a chance to take some non-iPhone outdoor shots of it since delivery; however, still haven't had the chance to take it to a cleaner location (lamp posts everywhere!!  ) for better wide angle shots... so please enjoy more sectional / close-up shots first I will soon also try to summarize my initial impressions of the first week of ownership experience too. I will try to put them in short point forms otherwise I get way too verbose

Why didn't you take advantage of the opportunity to have the only mass-produced car to have a carbon fiber roof? That's the only thing I would change with you car. Regardless, congratulations on becoming a M3 owner. It's all good whether you have a moonroof or carbon roof.

Ahh... I remember the night my M came in. Such a great excitement!
Start taking good care of that Jerez TODAY!!! It's a MAJOR PITA to keep it looking good but it puts a smile in your face everytime you walk up to it and drive away. I got this color because of it's sublimeness and discretion but I still get plenty of stares when driving around in a clean car.

Let me address the points/questions brought forth so far.- why no CF roof? Well... I came from a S2K and also used to having a sun/moonroof in all my other cars; the extra light and airflow into the cabin are enough +'s over the cool fact of a CF roof (although the only mass produced car to have it). You are right though either way the E92 is  No debate over CF vs glass roof here please  - it's Jet Black by the way, not Jerez. I know someone with a Jerez on black, nice colour but I prefer not to have the blue undertone so I went with Jet Black... it's just the same level of PITA to keep spotless clean, right? - time to mod? I won't say no but right now I am still busy exploring all the little things on this car that I haven't got bitten by the mod bug yet... LUX angel eyes are probably the first on my list, heehee... like many others here from what I've read.
