For those who haven't seen this thread...
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=724717

Lightweight Titanauspuffanlagen is making the 1M lip from the MotoGP pace car. They have a group buy running at the moment for €300+shipping, instead of €399+shipping - for the PE lip (track proven to be more durable than CF). Shipping to Australia would normally be close to €100.

Marc from Lightweight has worked out a special deal for us that would see the lip landed in Sydney for AU$420+domestic shipping . Full retail price shipped here would normally be ~$610 (add in forex fee etc).

This Group Buy would save you $190, but we need min of 5 orders to go ahead.

Who's keen?

1. Oystero - Gloss Black
2. AlpineM3E92 - Gloss Black
3. Sverma - Gloss Black
4. Curare86 - Matt or Gloss???
5.

As long as you widen the track and have all the suspension upgrades, it is all good .

I got a few good questions, so here's some more info for everyone's benefit. This lip only comes in one size. In the photo with the 3 lips the bottom 2 are same size whereas the top 1 is smaller and was just a prototype. It's made from PE (Polyethlyne - plastic), and it's available in Gloss or Matt finish. There is a CF finish option but it's made to order and not incl in this Group Buy. Here's what Marc from LightWeight had to say about why they chose PE...

Quote:
So, now as well, I'am here to answer all your questions. We build our Frontlip in PE not GFK. I tryed the lip on my 1M for three months. The GFK Version broke after a stone crashed into my front during a highspeed drive at the Highway. After that we builded the lip new, in PE! One piece, routed at CNC Machine, 10mm material, nearly unbreakable ! The colour options are black shine and black bride. On the pictures which are posted here, we installed the shine version.
Some better photos

Interested.. Much more neater and compact built than the Kerscher lip IMO..

Still concerned about ground clearance with the drop..

If ur worried about scraping then get the Alpha-N splitters. They are pretty much same level as the bumper...

Nah, not much lower than 135i but the suspension is def stiffer. I think Joe & Ian have crappy driveways

BTW, we just need 2 more to get the Group buy going. Alvin already has his on order.

The 1M is deffinately lower stock than a stock 135i. Maybe not in the suspension but deffinately in the front spoiler/air dam.

Nice front lip, however it doesn't give the edge that the Kerscher lip delivers.
