Convertible 1M ???
So... I was thinking with all the wrecked 1M's and rebuilds and motor swaps out there... Why have we not seen a 1M Convertible conversion done!?!? I would have thought someone would have done a 1M Vert by now. ???

Check the vert renderings in AW, VO and some kind of blue(s) in the "Huge moon roof option..." thread of last year:

I (and a few other people) were almost banned the last time this subject came up...so I really hope that you know what you just started Dack.
My current obstacle to doing it is money - dont have the cash for a full conversion. When I do though, ill probably end up doing something along the lines of a 1M style conversion for the handling benefits - as im already there on power. Those renderings that Artemis posted really want to make me do it. Saw them last year (and Sibals before the 1M was even officially announced) Im of the opinion that the 1er looks its best sans roof - a 1M vert would just be a ridiculously badass thing. |

If the 1M came in a vert, it would be one of the most badass verts around. Real shame they didn't make it, it's not for everyone but I'm sure it has a place amongst all the other models they are pumping out.

Oh no. Someone has been and done it. Fake? Can't see orange stitching.

Why did the license plate move from the intercooler area to the bumper in the second shot? The plate in the intercooler grill would seriously diminish the cooling.
I have to say it, but I think this is butt ugly. The hood and the matte colored green/gray wrap. Those wheels are awful too. Sorry if I've offended someone's taste. |

the renderings look awful, but that wrapped convertible makes it a bit more appealing... still, it just feels like somethings missing if there's no hardtop. doesn't seem as beefy n aggressive

If they gave that car some nicer wheels (OEM 1M wheels are pretty much perfect), it would look soooo much better. Wouldn't hurt to also get rid of the primer grey color and remove the tail light tint.

I found another pic of that flat primer grey 1M Vert. I gotta say I prefer either render(either of the blue ones) over this real life 1er.
Something just doesn't look right about those hood to fender gaps to me. But then again every M3 style hood I've seen has huge panel gaps. Only the ActiveE hood seems to really have a high panel gap quality to it.

I'm sure glad there was no cabrio. Kind of defeats the purpose of the car plus there would be a lot more 1M's around = less exclusive.

Meh. I'm not sure the lines of the 1SMC really lend themselves well to a 'vert. The Z4 lines really work well with top/topless. Not sure I can say the same for the 1M. Btw...why can't anyone stop molesting these!?
How about a nice ol' fashioned stock 1M?
