Fuel pump warning, wtf
Did a spirited pull from second and felt hesitation, put it in third and half engine light, warning reduce power, fuel pump malfunction. So pulled over, turned the car off, restarted and all is fine until I put in first and started to accelerate CALMLY, and same half engine light, and this time service engine soon light, reduced power, wtf, 08 M3 with 37000 miles, it's under warranty, so I'll be scheduling an appt, brought me back to the n54 hpfp problems. Will update on what it is and what the problem is. Took pics of the fuel pump, laughed my ass off to see that on an M3

Mike Benvo just had his replaced. There is a thread regarding it if you do a quick search.

Same thing happened to me recently. Had a fuel pressure sensor replaced and some other items. Same symptoms as you, fuel pump warning and reduced power.

Thanks guys, I've read a few posts about that, I was just pissed and wanted to rant. I'll be calling the dealership tomorrow and hopefully they can take care of it.
