Powder coating stock X5M rims
Finally found a vendor, powder coater & dealer willing to package the deal together. Going for the black, with semi-gloss. Should have pics by this weekend if all goes well.

Well, by now the powder coat is sort of done. After waiting for a long time to pickup my truck last week, when I did get it, the guy at the dealership says the tires/wheels were installed incorrectly. Front tire/wheel placed on back vice versa.
I get in car to find out the TPS doesnt work in fact, it won't give me an option to reset. When I get home, I noticed right rear wheel is scraped & powder coated over. My guess the tire/wheel guy damaged rim when removing tire since damaged area had been powder coated over. I call the dealership & they offered to replace wheel with a new one. I said ok since I know things can happen. I am scheduled to take truck in this Wed to have new wheel (they are also putting a new continental DWS tire on rim) & TPS fixed. Today (10/15), while driving I noticed a slight vibration in the front wheels on/off gas pedal at 30 mph or higher. In a couple of hours, the vibration got much worse & I drove back to dealership & I am now driving a rental. I will say so far the dealership is making an effort to make a bad situation from getting worse. I don't know the cause of the vibration. I touched the lugs with my finger & they seemed tight. Wonder if the TPS has anything to do with it or not. |

Finally got the truck back from dealership today. TPS replaced & road force wheel balance seems to have worked.
Dealer ended up replacing one rim new & powder coated. I'll post pics soon. |

came out great!
on a side note i dont think your shop put your M logos back on the wheels. you'll have to buy new ones. when I got my wheels done they scrapped the original ones and i had to buy new ones |

Looks good...I chose the same color on very similar wheels.
They're just stickers. Can't powdercoat over them. I was happy to take them off the 750...lol. |

Word of advice down the road when you need new tires. Make sure you go over the rims with the tire shop manager or dealer before they remove the tires. The guy i went to put several chips in the rims while trying to remove the tires. Powder coat looks great but will chip easily.
