M235i (2014)
Some are truly disappointed about BMW's decision to deny the US the M135i hatchback.
But to soothe the pain, the US will get the M235i Coupé. Scheduled to be introduced at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show (introduction of the 2er: 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show). Rumored to use the same N55 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six delivering 316hp (320PS) at 5,800rpm and 450Nm (332 lb-ft) from 1,300 to 4,500rpm as the M135i hatchback: http://www.autoweek.com/article/2012...NEWS/120709905 http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...ce-line-in-u-s Dackel was kind enough to post some speculative renders of 2ers (+ M2) a couple of months ago: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=709199 Unfortunately, those renders are too speculative. Here's an exclusive spy shot of the future new M Performace car for the US. It was spotted in the Nürburgring parking lot area when the testdriver just had left for a brief sanitary pitstop. Special features: alike the notorious Z1, the doors slide inside the car + use of lightweight materials to improve performance. In classified BMW files it's currently codenamed "Ter///MinUS235i". I liked the bi-color scheme of the sports seats.

Alike the Ferrari Enzo, light weight materials only, no sound insulation and the steering wheel column is uncovered, all for the sake of weight saving of course (as demonstrated @ 05:27 of this walk-around video of Nick Mason's Enzo):
Here's that fabulous one on a 900 mile journey (check @ 04:36-04:44: activating the electronic front-suspension lift feature at the touch of the yellow button on the left part of the steering wheel: raising the long 3.9-inch-low nose by a critical 1.4 inches to clear curbs): No ///M car so no ///M button. Instead you got to use the green "Race" button on the right part of the steering wheel:
