Just want to keep the wife happy.
Her first BMW 2011 MT 128i, great car. It was base car no options. Got great deal on it as no one wanted it.
Next car she just had to have one. 2012 fiat 500 sport. That car lasted about five months Next car back to BMW this time a 2012 128i with a few options. It was an auto and it was nothing like the 128 with the MT. She did not like the auto. Next car 2013 Scion FR-S MT She is so happy with this one. Whatever she wants I will get it for her. |

That rear pic (the car ) makes me wonder why Scion put the badge in the lower corner of the bootlid. It's like they were embarrassed or put it on as an afterthought.
Cool list of cars though! I'd like to hear your opinion on the FRS compared to the MT 128i. |

Why keep buying base models? Seems silly and the money you keep going through in immediate depreciation more than covers options like nav, sport packages, turbos, and leather

I've now officially lost the motivation to get any work done today, and will instead mull over your wife's car-ownership history knowing that you live in THAT house and will buy her WHATEVER she wants.
- A 128i with NO options just 'cause - A Fiat - Then, for hicks and giggiles, a second 128 but this time with some options - An FRS I can only conclude based on the facts provided your wife picked her cars using a dart board and went with whatever stuck.

Well, I buy her whatever she wants. The fact that one of BMW's had no options was due to the fact that it was the only MT on the lot at the time. Oh that one did have free leather upgrade. She picks one out I get for her. If I loose a little on trading in it does not matter to me. But the BMW holds their value real well. I don’t think I lost any money on the 2011 128 MT trading it in as I got such a great deal on that car.

In comparing the MT 128i to the FRS the 128i handles very well and power band is very good. The FRS also handles very well but the harder you push it the more rewarding it is. Its just plain fun to drive. I really like it. It feels a lot like my lotus with less power. As far as power the MT 128 feels faster but the 0-60 on both cars are similar. With the FRS you need to keep the revs up that where the power is. I really like the FRS I think it’s a great car. And it’s a great car for the money. The engine makes great sounds.
