Replace interior lights with LED
So there has been a few threads on this in the past, after some time has past what is the consensus? Who has own their LEDS for over a few months and still enjoy them.
Which ones did you buy and from where? |

I've had mine for over a year. Love them. Looking at my ebay history, I bought the license plate LED from http://stores.ebay.com/automotor168 and the interior LEDs from http://stores.ebay.com/Led-Fashion-Town. Made the car look amazing.

I didn't like them. It makes the interior too bright and harsh. Plus I asked myself, when have I ever been in the car and thought: "gee I really need it to be brighter in here". It's not like we use maps or pen and paper anymore, every device has a screen nowadays. Plus the soft warm light is actually really pleasing it's like great mood lighting.
The only exception is the trunk LED strip. This is one of my favorite cheap mods. Makes the trunk actually usable in the dark. Even there I chose a warm white to match the rest of the car. Check my sig for pictures.

^ my thought as well.
I did LEDs on my G35 and found them too bright and too harsh. I much prefer the softer incandescent look. Of note, I rarely drive at night. JMO of course.......

I did the LEDs last year and like them. About $12 shipped off ebay and 15 minutes, you can always go back if you don't like them. Trunk, dome, map, center center console, glove box and foot wells. Much whiter, not harsh, easy to find stuff, I'm keeping them in. It's personal preference, so go with what YOU like.

I replaced mine and it is brighter. There are options with less LEDs that will provide less light. I had some trouble with the led base fitting through the holes where the old halogen bulbs were. I had to insert them up, through the hole. I had to back out two screws to remove the clear lens to get to the middle bulb. Nice results IMO.
