Finally Customized the Navi

Quick update to the system, and then minutes later had my backsplash. Wanted something oem looking (ripped off Google)

Here's my splash. Not that I see it much. You have to be quick on the key to catch it booting up.

Is there some way to replace the warning screen texts or warning screen with splash?

AFAIK, the only way to make the warning screen go away is to to set the navi to "Euro" mode.
You can do that with the free trial version of NavCoder.

I guess only the US legal system is screwed up enough where somebody could win a lawsuit because they weren't warned that you have to look at the road.
Or the US is the only place where you can find @$$||0les like John Edwards.
(The former VP candidate, not the racing driver).

Oddly, it doesn't change miles to km, it changes feet to yards, which I like better anyway.
I can gauge the distance to the next turn in terms of how many football fields.

If it only flashes for a second, I'd replace it with something very vulgar, to play mind games with my passengers. Something like "tubgirl"

You can change the warning text to whatever text you want using navtweak. AFAIK, you can't replace the warning text with a splash screen, but you can turn the warning screen off by coding the GT.C05 module and changing "LAENDERVARIANTE_GT from US to ece. But only do this if you are taking your car outside of the USA because the warning has to be there in USA or else....

Also, using navtweak, you can change most of the text that shows up on the nav.

BTW, if you haven't added night mode, I highly recommend it if you drive on dark roads at night.

Not very exciting, but here's my splash screen for now:

What are they going to do? Put you in GPS jail??? I seriously doubt that the warning is required AFTER the point of sale to the end user.

"GPS jail."

I took the label of my mattress when I bought it. If I remove the warning on the Nav, then I just need one more "offense" to perfect my triple play of illegal activity!

(I suspect Pungo is kidding...)

No, without that warning there, the satellites will triangulate your location and send a laser beam down to disable your car, something to do with the spy satellites that hover over the USA. I read if you put aluminum foil along the top the screen, then it will block the spy satellites, then you can remove the warning without issue......
It must be true, I read it on the internet

What I want to do someday is make a night mode that's done with green lines. Or I just thought of it, orange to match the other interior lights in the car. The hard part is finding a horizon picture for the perspective mode that looks good with both day and night, because it doesn't change with the color sets.

I didn't get the tubgirl reference.
I just had to Google it.

Is there such a thing as unGoogle?
I need to unsee that.
