Air bag light

Hi all I have a 08 Z4 coupe with a strange problem. While driving the air bag light will come on and the indicators, wipers, and the radio stop working till the light goes out. Shop replaced the module but that did not work. Any ideas I will be taking it back in this week

Did they pull error codes? From what I've seen there are a zillion things that can set off the airbag light that aren't even remotely connected to it. Bad connectors, bad battery connection, etc.

They told me no codes stored, shop just got a system like the dealer has maybe they cant use it.

Yeah, you will need to get some details on what's going on. If the light is on there should be error codes accompanying it. May need to find a new shop that can pull them. Sounds like the module replacement was a "catch all" call to fix it.

Is the airbag light the only light that illuminates, or do multiple lights turn on?

Only the air bag light comes on, stays on for 90 sec at most during that time the other items don't work when it goes off and all is well till the next time.
