Remove iDrive screen housing???
How difficult is it to remove the housing around the Navi/iDrive screen?
I've searched around but haven't had any luck finding any info...

The whole unit comes out as one piece.. You just remove the two T10 screws at the top, then tilt it down and it pulls right out.

I'll give that a try. So after it's out does the plastic housing separate from the screen? I've seen one post that said, no, but just dont see how that's true the way it looks.

Are you talking about the instrument cluster or the navi screen?

edit: shit i'm thinking E90 here.. lol.. On these you have to pop the center vent out, then there are 2 T20 screws behind it that hold the screen in place, once loosened it simply slides right up out of the dash. My bad
