Elite Automotive in Venice and GT International Motors in West LA. My suggestion is to compare their Yelp reviews and go to whichever is more convenient. You can't go wrong.

Elite is where I personally go. Rudy is great and honest and the shop is super laid back (but still very professional) which I really appreciate. They are straightforward about the work, happily answer all your nagging/obsessive owner questions, and provide most parts at cost from my experience. Lots of M cars go in and out of there, despite the somewhat sketchy appearance on Lincoln Blvd.

I used to go to GT International, but they were a little more difficult to deal with in my opinion so I stopped. They charge more for parts as well. They are right next to Lamborghini and Aston Martin service centers though, so there is always eye candy around.

I've done GT International and Foreign Sport Technicians on the Westside. Personally I've been really happy with HiTech Auto in Silverlake lately. Very buttoned up and super good guys.

He might think your m3 because he does a lot of pcars and ferraris. When i was there, there was a bentley coupe, a 997 turbo, 997 gt3 996 c2, ferrari 355, CARRERA GT, and poor e92 that ran into a deer with blood in the engine bay lol.
