Rod bearing clearance issue - how many instances known?
So I'm nearing 70k miles on my June '08 build. Obviously reports of rod bearing clearance issues have my somewhat concerned (even though engine still pulls like crazy - which I am very happy about)!
So - does anyone know: 1) approximately how many instances of a failure been reported overall? 2) how many of those instances involved cars pre-post Oct 2008 when specs or components were changed for bearings? 3) for failures reported, how many stock engines vs. supercharged or modded engines? 4) approximate mileage where most failures occurred? Thanks, |

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
